Overview

This course is designed to produce graduates who are prepared for scientific practice in technically oriented businesses or who are equipped for entry into business and management in scientific firms and institutions.

Demand is growing for graduates able to cross the divide between science and business. UTS teaches the practical skills and knowledge that employers demand, both in science and business-related fields.

Career options

Career options include analyst, communicator, manager, marketer, researcher, scientist, or technical representative with government, industries, large corporations, research organisations and scientific firms.

Depending on the science and business majors chosen, graduates can work in commodity and resource trading, the pharmaceutical industry, as scientists in leading consumer goods companies, environmental protection agencies, health services, hospitals or medical research.

Articulation

There is provision for students already enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Business degree to transfer to this combined degree program, provided they meet the entry requirement for the combined degree and/or have demonstrated satisfactory progress in their current program of study.

Additional assumed knowledge
