The Graduate Diploma in Managing Information Technology is designed for local and international IT graduates who are seeking advanced professional study with a focus on information technology management, organisational strategies and planning.
This course combines advanced information technology subjects with solid foundations in strategic and tactical management subjects. The core areas of study provide a foundation for further elective choices and expertise in organisational, project and software management reflecting individual students' interests.
This course aims to provide graduates with advanced professional study in organisational and project management. It seeks to develop the professional skills necessary for successfully undertaking the role of manager of personnel, resources and processes in a variety of organisational contexts. Upon completion of this course, students possess enhanced work-ready expertise in IT management, practical problem-solving skills, advanced communication skills and technical literacy.

The Graduate Diploma in Managing Information Technology is part of an articulated program consisting of the Master of Information Technology Management (C04225) and the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Project Management (C11192).
Local applicants require a minimum qualification equivalent to a Bachelor's degree with a major in computing/information technology (or related discipline) or a Bachelor's degree plus a Graduate Diploma in computing/information technology (or related discipline) from a recognised Australian university.
International applicants require knowledge and grades equivalent to the knowledge and standard required for admission as a local applicant. In addition, applicants should attach detailed transcripts of their previous studies, annotated with their grades, to demonstrate that they satisfy these admission requirements.
This course is offered on a one-year, full-time, or two-year part-time basis.
Students must complete 48 credit points of study consisting of five core subjects and three electives.
