ITSMS introduces students to the concepts of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM). It has two components: The first component covers 'World's Best Practice' for IT Service Management. (ITSM) through the introduction of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Service Support and Service Delivery Processes. The second component covers the relationship of ITSM with emerging industry standards and regulatory requirements (such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 2002 for US-owned organisations, and CLERP9 for Australian companies).
