MAJ08448 Advertising and Promotions Management
The Advertising and Promotions Management major develops practical competencies to make the strategic decisions to effectively and efficiently manage a firm's advertising and other marketing communication activities; a major that has been developed in response to a need in the advertising industry for university graduates who have those competencies. This major has received support from the Media Federation and the Advertising Federation of Australia and is designed for students who are interested in specialising in the study of advertising, communications and media within a managerial framework. The major enables students to acquire a knowledge and understanding of the frameworks and practices of marketing communications. In particular, the major focuses on advertising and media strategy and planning, and evaluates other communication tools within the context of the marketing communications process. Students gain the skills to plan and manage advertising and other communication campaigns and to evaluate their effectiveness through market research.
