Undergraduate

This subject has been designed to enable students in the final semester of their undergraduate degree to gain two weeks of clinical nursing practice in an area of interest to them. Through this experience, students have the opportunity to develop their expertise in paediatric nursing and to understand the experience of illness and hospitalisation from the perspective of the child. This clinical experience extends the paediatric knowledge and experience of children's nursing covered previously, and gives students the opportunity to determine their preference for the specialty of paediatric nursing. It also has the potential to assist them in their quest for future employment.
