This subject requires the student to examine the equipment and methods used in designing lighting for interiors. It investigates artificial light sources, methods of light control and sustainability, and explores the ways and means that interior spaces can be defined by light. A series of lectures, tutorial exercises and research projects allow students to gain understanding of the wide range of resources and techniques available for designing, documenting and using appropriate light sources and controls in a safe and environmentally-responsible way.
