This subject explores the social and political representations of gender in fashion and textile design and includes an introduction to inclusive design, (i.e. design for the aged, incapacitated and minorities). Theoretical studies underpin studio practice and analyse the significanace of culture, clothing and notions of the body. In design studio practice, research-based projects are translated into fashion and textile design outcomes.
