This subject builds on the foundation studies of mechanics and fields undertaken in an introductory physics subject. It takes advantage of the methods of vector calculus and differential equations to analyse the motion of particles and bodies under influence of forces and fields. Topics covered include coupled oscillators, the Lagrangian description of particle motion, rotational body dynamics, central force dynamics, and relativity.
