Using a mix of research-based organisational and project theory and actual case studies, this subject appraises and discusses how the current turbulent context in which organisations are set can trigger the emergence of project-based organisations. It outlines the relationship between all its components and discusses their integration in a value creation perspective. The subject covers practical issues such as complexity, enactment, systems theory, value creation, stakeholders' management, benefits management, strategy formation, project-based organisations and governance.
