Digital compositing and motion graphics involves the combination of various source elements, such as live action video, stills, text, animations and sound, to create an integrated result. Combining all of these media into a seamless whole can be a challenging technical and creative exercise. Students become acquainted with current work practices in digital video production, and get hands-on experience with the technology involved in digital video production (digital video cameras, DAT recorders), and with the relevant software (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop).
