The aims of this studio are: to introduce various historical and contemporary concepts of design and examples of precedents; to encourage an appreciation of the significance of myth, narrative, ritual, expression and symbolism in contemporary design; and to develop ideas of materiality and meaningful construction in the making of a public site and a sense of place.
