Overview

The Graduate Certificate in New Media is part of an articulated program in Media Arts and Production which includes film, video, multimedia, sound, radio, performance and installation, and the interplay among these media forms.

Course aims

Students completing this course have specific core skills in new media production which are applicable across a range of existing and emerging formats; some knowledge of aesthetics and new media industry issues, within the landscape of media production in general; and an awareness of industry practices in new media production.

Career options

Career options include multimedia designer or producer.

Articulation

This course is part of an articulated program comprising the Graduate Certificate in New Media, the Graduate Diploma in Media Arts and Production (C06038), and the Master of Media Arts and Production (C04107).

Additional recognition of prior learning

Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma and who are admitted to a more advanced-level course in the program are eligible for recognition of prior learning for completed subjects in the more advanced course.
