This subject examines how ecological and socio-economic assessment can be used in the valuation of ecosystems and natural resources. Understanding the vulnerability of different ecosystems to a range of threatening processes is a central focus of the subject. Specifically, this subject examines valuation techniques for groundwater-dependent ecosystems. However, the themes explored are broadly relevant to the valuation of any ecosystem.
