Overview
The UTS Online Graduate Certificate in Business Administration provides foundation skills used in the general management of a business enterprise for non-graduates who have extensive business experience.
The UTS Online Graduate Certificate in Business Administration aims to enable early career professionals to either prepare for more senior roles within their current field, switch to new business management fields, or start and grow their own business.
Course aims
General management skills are developed to provide expertise in strategic thinking, critical analysis, developing and implementing business plans, decision-making under uncertainty, understanding organisational dynamics, effective communication and promoting change.
Career options
Career options include management-level positions in industry or government.
Course intended learning outcomes

Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
All applicants who do not meet the academic requirement may still be considered on the basis of:
- a minimum of at least four years full time, or equivalent, relevant post-secondary work experience.
The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service, confirming the dates of employment and the position held within the organisation.
The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
Recognition of prior learning
Students in the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration are not granted exemptions for any prior studies.
Course duration and attendance
The course can be completed in a minimum of eight months online study (i.e.. 1 x 6 credit points subject per session over 4 x 7-week teaching sessions). A 6 credit point subject requires an average of 15-20 hours of study per week.
Approval to study more than one six-credit point subject per session will be subject to Faculty approval.

The course comprises a total of 24 credit points.
