Description
This subject provides students with an introduction to the fundamentals of design for Landscape Architecture approached from the perspective of design. Through the development of a site-specific intervention, students will develop an understanding of landscape as the product of continual re-imagination and learn to engage critically and creatively with a landscape's past, current and potential states. Central to the subject’s approach is a focus on the role of topography in landscape architecture. Working at the intersection of time, scale and matter students will explore the creative potentials of topography for designing landscapes that are expressive, experiential and dynamic.
