Overview
The UTS Online Graduate Certificate in Service Design and Data Analytics in Supply Chain is a specialist postgraduate qualification that develops fundamental knowledge of service design and supply chain analytics concepts and gain technical and commercial capabilities to lead professional practice.
The Graduate Certificate subjects are designed to ensure 'relevance to workplace', instantly adding value to careers and organisations by utilising data analytical skills and tools to enable accurate decision making for supply chain planning and service design.
Course aims
This course equips professionals with the knowledge needed to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities and formulate creative options for complex real-world problems in manufacturing and service supply chain networks.
Career options
Completing the program could lead to roles such as Service Design Manager, Service Supply Chain Designer, Supply Chain Manager - Network Design Distribution & Inventory Control Analyst, Inventory Analyst, Supply Planning Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst and Logistics Analyst.

Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
Minimum Academic Requirement: The previous qualification must be in a related field, within the business or engineering discipline.
All applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirement in a related field may still be considered on the basis of:
- a minimum of at least two years full time, or equivalent, relevant work experience.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirement may still be considered on the basis of a minimum of at least four years full time, or equivalent, relevant post-secondary work experience.
The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service, confirming the dates of employment and the position held within the organisation.
The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
Recognition of prior learning
Students in the Graduate Certificate are not granted exemptions for any prior studies.
Course duration and attendance
The course is offered on an eight months, full-time basis (i.e.. 1 x 6 credit points subject per session over 4 x 7-week sessions).
Approval to study more than one six-credit point subject per session will be subject to Faculty approval.
Course structure
The course comprises a total of 24 credit points.
