Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Business Strategy is designed for professionals wishing to strengthen their career by extending their analytical skills, enterprise skills and problem-solving capability to address strategic challenges and opportunities. This is achieved by building knowledge and capabilities via subjects that have been co-developed with industry to provide an applied and customised learning experience that adds real value to the participants as well as to their employers. In the studio subject, students gain an understanding of how to design solutions and/or new concepts in an uncertain and changing technological landscape and apply this knowledge to a live project. This can be customised to the needs of a specific cohort of students based on a specific industry or organisational context. The course prepares students to address strategic and innovative challenges and opportunities in the context of multiple stakeholder requirements and changing technologies.

The Graduate Certificate in Business Strategy is designed for cohorts of professionals wishing to develop their skills and capabilities in designing innovative solutions to complex problems aligned to the values and priorities of their employers. It features:

  • applied and customised training in latest discipline-based and transdisciplinary tools and methodologies
  • applied, work-integrated problem solving in live projects with a focus on complex problems and opportunities in digital contexts
  • ongoing coaching and mentoring by experienced industry professionals
  • delivery utilising a blend of online, face-to-face, weekends and block mode learning; all subjects are taught in intensive mode over full Fridays and Saturdays which means students can keep working while they study, applying what they learn right away on their jobs
  • delivery by leading academics from UTS Business School who are joined by experts from other UTS faculties; students also engage with our extensive network of adjuncts and industry partners who facilitate sessions and coach and mentor students, and
