Students enrolled in the Master of Genetic Counselling (C04374) can apply to transfer into this exit-only course after completing 24 credit points of specified study and gain a graduate certificate qualification.
Course intended learning outcomes
1.1 | Describe evidence-based genetic and genomic health care. |
1.2 | Apply self-awareness through self-reflection relating to their work. |
2.1 | Outline an awareness of cultural and societal diversity and disparity in healthcare. |
2.2 | Demonstrate respect and value for diverse ways of knowing, being and doing, in particular recognising the diversity of Indigenous Australians while critically reflecting upon the impact of ongoing colonisation and its pervasive discourse on their health and wellbeing, and integrating this knowledge into practice. |
