Description

The global internship program provides an intensive internship experience in an international context. The program encourages interdisciplinary learning and offers a global industry experience in which students discover and synthesise new technical, cultural and professional skills from multiple disciplines within the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building.

The global internship group is accompanied by an academic staff member who contextualises the work experience onsite and facilitates self reflection and/or lead components of the project itself in collaboration with the host organisation.

Students are required to work directly within the host organisation and are exposed to different work practices, culture and expectations than in the Australian context. The experience should help the participants to develop strategies for cross-cultural communications and resilience in the face of a growing globalisation of both work and the workforce.
