Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Strategic Supply Chain Management extends the graduate certificate and provides the opportunity for further specialisation in supply chain management.
The course is designed to cater for the needs of those employed in the manufacturing or services sector, be it private, public or not-for-profit organisations, or whether it is a small- or medium-sized enterprise or a multinational corporation. This course further fosters academic, research and functional capabilities to effectively facilitate the design, planning and operations of a network of interconnected businesses involved in the provision of products and services to end-users. By completing this course, the student's suite of existing skills required to manage inter- and intra-organisational resources, capabilities, business operation and supply chain functions is significantly enhanced for superior performance, value creation and competitive advantage.
Course aims
The course seeks to enhance professionals' understanding of the nature, context and contribution of global supply chains and operation management functions in both inter- and intra- organisational contexts facilitating competitive advantage.
Career options
Career options include management-level positions in the service industry and areas traditionally associated with business operations management.

Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
International students
Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
Recognition of prior learning
Students may be granted a maximum of five subject exemptions, of which two core subjects can be approved from prior undergraduate study.
Note: Students who wish to apply for MCIPS accreditation cannot get recognition of prior learning for any of the subjects.
Course duration and attendance
The course duration is one year of full-time or two years of part-time study.
Course structure
Students must complete a total of 48 credit points made up of 8 subjects, comprising seven core (42 credit points) and one subject (6 credit points) selected from a list of specialist subjects.
