Overview
This course is one of three graduate certificates in the Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship (C04304). It is aimed at students who need commercial skills and knowledge in the areas of accounting, finance, statistics and sales and marketing to help develop their business ideas. It also includes a capstone subject, 21940 Innovative Commercialisation Project, which brings together these commercial skills by helping students work through a practical case study of an entrepreneurial venture.
Students with business ideas who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills and knowledge, and those who want to understand the processes of commercialisation benefit from studying this course.
Students have access to non-award-based seminars and events with entrepreneurs and other relevant industry practitioners which provide reality and rigour to supplement their classroom study.
Course aims
The course is designed to provide students with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge which is academically rigorous but also practical to enable the development of the future entrepreneurs of Australia.

The course suits students from business and non-business backgrounds who are interested in entrepreneurship and developing their own business ideas, corporate innovation executives wanting to upgrade their skills and knowledge, and current entrepreneurs who require specific skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship.
Admission requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
Applicants without a degree require eight years' full-time relevant work experience and evidence of a general capacity to undertake tertiary education.
The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.

Credit recognition
Recognised prior learning in the core subjects is assessed for credit recognition. No other credits for prior learning are provided.
Course duration and attendance
The course may be completed in one session of full-time study.
This course is normally available in Autumn session each year.
Course structure
The course comprises five subjects, totalling 24 credit points.
