Description

This subject provides students with the opportunity to develop their understanding of specific aspects of a society or culture through a three-week to four-week intensive program at an international location. It is offered in the July and Summer sessions, however the specific programs available each session may vary. Programs include classroom-based seminars supplemented by a series of local excursions. Through the experience of living and learning in another country, the subject also aims to enhance students' intercultural communication skills and ability to understand other cultures, and reflect on their own values and world views. Students' intercultural awareness is further enhanced through their participation in workshops before departure and on their return as well as through their completion of a series of assessment tasks related to their international study.
