979000 International Studies Dissertation

Students are required to prepare, undertake and write a dissertation on a topic related to International Studies. Students work in conjunction with their Major Coordinator. They first undertake and write a literature review that critically analyses an issue associated with their language and culture specialisation. This is submitted with a plan to research an area raised in the literature review. Students then undertake research based on their research plan and write this into a dissertation. The normal length of the dissertation is 15,000 words. This subject may be undertaken on a part-time basis, if required, as subjects 979334 and 979335.

Fee information

  • 2012 contribution for commencing Commonwealth-supported students: $2824 (Note: Students who commenced prior to 1 January 2011 should consult the student contribution charges for Commonwealth-supported students. Not all students are eligible for Commonwealth-supported places.)
