Students are required to prepare, undertake and write a dissertation on a topic related to International Studies. Students work in conjunction with their Major Coordinator. They first undertake and write a literature review that critically analyses an issue associated with their language and culture specialisation.This is submitted with a plan to research an area raised in the literature review. Students then undertake research based on their research plan and write this into a dissertation. The normal length of the dissertation is 15,000 words. This subject may be undertaken on a part-time basis, if required, as subjects 979334 and 979335.
