MAJ09209 Economics

Businesses operate within the economy and many of the prospects and problems faced by a business are influenced or determined by the economy. Consequently, many business leaders emphasise the need for business managers to understand the economy and its impact on business. The Economics major is accordingly valuable for business students. The subjects in this major provide students with the professional skills, knowledge and understanding that enhance their capabilities in each of the professional areas within business.

Students intending to apply for the honours program in economics should complete 25571 Introductory Econometrics as their optional subject.
