This subject provides students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and ability to utilise a specified range of psychosocial therapeutic interventions in mental health care. These interventions include a comprehensive exploration of family therapy, group therapy, psychotherapy and psycho-education. This subject also provides students with the opportunity to examine and analyse the theoretical bases for interdisciplinary mental health care, and the opportunity to explore their own theoretical bases of practice. Philosophical and ethical considerations are examined.
