It focuses on effective management and decision making through the development and application of analytical skills from accounting and finance. The subject equips graduates with appropriate skills in accounting, finance and management. Topics include: the nature and purpose of accounting; basic accounting concepts and key financial statements; analysis and interpretation of financial statements; finance, financing and financial vulnerability; audit and external review; costing products and services; internal control and internal control systems; and strategic and business planning.
