92283 Challenges in Midwifery Practice

Undergraduate

This subject builds on learning from previous practice subjects. Students have learning experiences in each of the major areas of midwifery care and continue to form 'follow through' relationships with childbearing women. Students also explore contemporary issues that impact on childbearing women and families. The subject enables students to understand the community resources available to women who need additional support at this time. Students also gain an understanding of mental health issues.
