4cp; 4hpwThis subject is an introduction to the scientific method and its importance to the TCM profession. It deals with basic research issues: theories and models; independent; dependent and confounding variables; and the influence of the placebo effects. It also examines the philosophical basis of positivist, empiricist and analytical approaches to scientific endeavours.
