Professional practice relates to the ethical and legal behaviour, and obligation, as determined by codes of practice and the laws that apply to the practice of interior design. In order to gain a clear understanding of codes and laws related to the interior design profession, students engage with the issues and requirements associated with government authorities, civil law, contractual models, estimating, copyright and intellectual property, business structures, employment, taxation and insurance, record keeping, best practice and quality assurance. This subject provides an overview of the legal, ethical and managerial responsibilities of interior design practice.
