Computer-aided design is increasingly a part of an industrial designer's repertoire. This subject continues with the mechanics of three-dimensional computer modelling and how it can be used to explore form and create virtual products. It also covers how the model can be used to communicate that form to others and how to support downstream manufacturing processes. This subject gives students exposure to the whole process, from form creation to product realisation.
