On completion of this subject, students have developed an understanding of what activities generally constitute 'cybercrime' and the motivations of various cyber criminals, the legislative framework applicable to cybercrime, the issues facing companies pursuing cyber criminals and options for redress, computer forensics and the handling of computer-based evidence and contemporary issues and trends in cybercrime.
