This subject aims to develop the confidence and software project management skills required to become effective project team leaders and potential project managers.

The subject covers the role of a project manager, project startup, system requirements, development methodologies, estimation, project framework, monitoring progress, people management, and risk and completion activities.

The subject is based on industry standards and their application as well as professional software management techniques.

Assessment: Classwork and assignments (60 per cent), examination (40 per cent).
