This subject covers theory and technologies for the development of distributed applications for mobile devices as well as introducing design principles for applications for small devices. It addresses different implementation techniques such as Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) and Microsoft .NET for Mobile Devices. The subject also provides a basis for understanding how different techniques can be used to develop distributed mobile applications.
