013961 Team Communication in the Workplace

This subject examines communication processes and skills that assist educators to facilitate the learning and performance of teams in the workplace. In particular, the subject investigates a variety of communication techniques to enhance team quality and productivity, increase team member satisfaction and motivation, improve performance as a team leader and/or team member, achieve and maintain team cohesiveness, and interpret communication interactions within the team. Topics include stages of team development theories, evaluating team achievements, principles of team leadership, giving feedback, team building tools, identifying and overcoming 'groupthink', and facilitation of change and productivity in workplace teams.

2009 contribution for post-2008 Commonwealth-supported students: $520.25

2009 amount for undergraduate domestic fee-paying students: $2,000.00
