This subject critically analyses assessment practices and policies in educational, training and workplace contexts. It explores the educational issues in assessment and how these relate to the purposes of the assessment. This subject systematically evaluates assessment practice across a range of educational and training contexts. Topics include the relationship between assessment and learning, ethical issues in assessment, and strategies to maintain the quality of assessment.
