013950 Verbal and Body Psychotherapies
6cpSubject coordinator: Rosemary Faire
This subject has two streams: one stream examines verbal counselling and psychotherapy skills; the other stream focuses on the importance of the body in the arts therapies. The purpose of both verbal and body-based streams is to provide resources for students' development as empathetic therapists, for increasing self-awareness and expressive range. Experiential work and theoretical background is drawn from various schools of counselling and psychotherapy, somatic education, somatic pschotherapy, rhythm-work and voice-work.
