MAJ09394 Law and Regulation

Think of Law and Regulation as 'meta-law': a way of understanding how regulation emerges, the powers at play, the stakeholders in conflict, and the founding philosophies underpinning it. The specialisation considers law and regulation theory and the special place of law in regulation. It also provides an opportunity to focus on hot topics such as the regulation of reproductive technologies, emission trading, risk or telecommunications. This specialisation offers a rare opportunity to consider the fundamental basis for making and shaping regulation, and how law and regulation affect the day-to-day life of modern society.
