The Dissertation Part A is a prerequisite to International Studies Dissertation Part B (979335).
In the Dissertation Part A, students are required to undertake and produce a research proposal related to international studies that critically analyses an issue associated both with their language and culture specialisation and with their intended area of research. In cases where an appropriate literature review and proposal has already been undertaken, the student examines two relevant methodology modules for their Dissertation Part A. The normal length of the Dissertation Part A is 5,000 words.
