The subject enables students to consolidate and integrate skills and knowledge acquired earlier in the course. Students carry out comprehensive and accurate health assessments on patients/clients in their care. Using a range of data-gathering techniques, students analyse physiological, psychological, spiritual, socioeconomic and cultural variables as they impact on the person's functional health status. Using this information, students then plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
