This subject explores fashion styling and art direction in relation to the associated industries. Through a series of lectures, tutorials and project work, students research, analyse and consider the messages conveyed through fashion verbal and visual imagery, using this as a basis for concept development and application, whether, for instance, for a catwalk show, magazine or an advertising campaign.
Typical design projects that students can undertake include Styling for Fashion and Textile Media and Writing for Fashion and Textile Media.
