This subject provides a foundation by introducing students to concepts of fashion and textile design and its context in society and culture, including an introduction to sustainable practice.
Through a series of lectures and design studio tutorials, students develop an understanding of the integral relationships of fashion and textile design, languages and cycles. This subject also encourages students to develop original design concepts and apply them to fashion and textile design outcomes.
