This subject introduces the basic database design and implementation concepts and presents database design techniques including relational design and E-R modelling. It discusses the implementation of relational databases and describes database query techniques using the Structured Query Language (SQL). It also introduces object-oriented databases and discusses their applicability to various problem domains.
