This subject teaches advanced skills required to optimise the quality of service in converged networks that support voice, wireless and security applications. As converged networks and mobility are used more and more in daily business, these technologies need to be optimised to support business requirements. The subject reviews and consolidates the principles, knowledge and skills in the context of networks that were gained in the subjects 32009 Advanced Routing Principles, 32010 Wide Area Networking Implementation and 32011 Multilayer Switching. Practical work is done on Cisco routers and switchers. On completion of this subject a student is also prepared for the industry accreditation CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
