This subject covers managing the development and implementation of information technology solutions, with particular emphasis on information systems project management and managing quality assurance. It considers the roles of project management and software quality, particularly from the viewpoint of the practitioner as a member of a project team. There is a focus on both product and process issues together with the factors that impact quality outcomes associated with all phases of development. It also considers the professional responsibility of IT workers and the impact of IT on organisations and society.
