11211 Architectural Design: Thinking, Making and Inhabiting

The aim of this subject is to introduce: the concept and process of architectural design; notions of scale, proportion, space, form, structure, order, rhythm, pattern, composition and organisation; the application of creative processes to human habitation; supplementary compositional techniques including structure, skin, rhythm, pattern and adaptation; and to integrate students' graphic learning into the design process.
