This program is only available to full-fee-paying international students.
This program allows students to complete the Master of Engineering Studies and the Master of Engineering Management in two years of full-time study.
Applicants require an engineering or other technological/applied science degree from a recognised tertiary institution. No work experience is required.
Once students have completed the Master of Engineering Management they need to submit an application for recognition of prior learning for two subjects from the Master of Engineering Studies. Students can, therefore, complete the combined program by completing only 84 credit points (14 subjects).
This course can be completed in two years of full-time study, comprising one year for the Master of Engineering Studies and one year for the Master of Engineering Management. The course is also available part time.
Attendance is available in weekly (normally evenings), block and/or distance modes.
To complete the Master of Engineering Studies, students must complete eight postgraduate subjects (48 credit points) offered by the Faculty of Engineering as detailed under the Master of Engineering Studies (C04097).
To complete the Master of Engineering Management, students must complete six core subjects (36 credit points) and two elective subjects (12 credit points) as specified under the Master of Engineering Management (C04094), however, two of these MEM subjects may be exempted based on subjects undertaken in the MEStud. Elective subjects are chosen from postgraduate subjects offered within the Faculty of Engineering.
