This subject enables students to explore ways in which midwives can respond to the identified needs of women as the primary focus of the midwives' relationship, and through them identify the needs of their families and significant others. Collaboration and interdisciplinary issues are explored within the context of the woman's life and the sociopolitical dimensions of families.
