92882 Techniques in Perioperative Nursing

This subject aims to further develop students' knowledge of the physiological, psychosocial and surgical needs of the patient (adult and child) undergoing common surgical procedures. Pre-, intra- and post-operative nursing assessment and care are explored in depth, as well as the broader aspects of technological issues associated with the surgical environment. An in-depth knowledge of anatomy is also developed.
