This subject aims to help participants to: understand the influence and impact of cultural, political and socioeconomic systems on individual and community health and wellbeing; examine ways of developing partnerships within a primary health care framework in relation to diabetes education; and apply research principles in the investigation and examination of resources for the education and treatment of diabetes.
