This subject aims to provide health care professionals with the theoretical background necessary for the development of negotiation skills, both for themselves and on behalf of those for whom they care, in order to meet the challenges of current and future health care systems. The subject develops participants' leadership abilities by encouraging them to respond to the philosophical, practical and social dilemmas of health care in a way which has congruence for their practice.
